
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader has expanded its Banking & Loan Finance division in the Middle East through the recruitment of Adil Hussain. Hussain transitions to the firm’s Dubai office from Baker McKenzie, where he previously held the role of Global Head of Islamic Finance and oversaw the Banking & Finance practice in the region.

Hussain specializes in conventional, Shari’ah-compliant, and multi-sourced financing issues across the Middle East and beyond. He has contributed to multiple market-leading financing initiatives and supported the creation of novel financial products within the region.
Drawing on experience in the UAE, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, Hussain is acknowledged by major legal directories for his banking and finance proficiency, particularly in Islamic finance. He provides counsel to a diverse array of global and local financial institutions, corporate borrowers, and other market participants on detailed financing arrangements.
